Bulk import
Where: Products → Import
For a large inventory, importing beats one-by-one entry:
- Click Import in the Products toolbar. The “Import products (CSV / Excel)” dialog opens, explaining: “Upload a CSV or Excel file to list many products at once — faster than one-by-one for a large inventory. Each new listing is created pending operator approval; re-uploading a SKU you already own updates it.”
- Click Download template to get products-template.csv — fill your data into its columns rather than inventing your own layout.
- Choose your finished .csv or .xlsx file and click Upload.
- Read the result line: “[n] applied — [x] new, [y] updated, [z] skipped.” Any skipped rows are listed individually as “Row [n]: [message]” so you can fix exactly those lines and re-upload. A toast summarises: “Imported N product(s)” — “…New listings await approval.”
Key behaviours:
- New SKUs become new listings — all of them In review, awaiting the operator, exactly as if you’d created them by hand.
- SKUs you already own are updated in place.
- A completely unreadable file fails with “Import failed” — “Check the file format and columns.” Re-download the template and compare your headers.
