Notifications reference
Where: The bell at the top of the sidebar
Every notification the vendor portal can send, and the right reaction to each:
| Notification | Message underneath | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| “New order ORD-XXXXXXXX” | “You have items to fulfil on this order.” | A buyer just bought your products; a sub-order was created. | Click it — it opens Orders. Accept the order and start fulfilment. |
| “Listing approved: [name]” | “It is now live and buyable on the storefront.” | The operator approved your listing; your proposed prices are published. | Nothing required — but a quick storefront check of the live page never hurts. |
| “Listing needs changes: [name]” | The operator’s rejection reason, or “Update it and re-submit for review.” | Your listing was rejected. | Open Products, expand the row to read the full reason, fix, Save & submit (see Submitting for review). |
| “Order ORD-… was cancelled” | “The buyer’s order was cancelled — stop fulfilment on your sub-order.” | The buyer’s parent order was cancelled; your sub-order is off. | Stop packing/shipping immediately. No commission, no net — the order no longer counts. |
Bell mechanics recap: the badge counts unread; clicking a notification navigates to the page it concerns; Mark all read and Clear read keep the list tidy; the × deletes one row; an empty list shows “You’re all caught up”.
tip
Notifications are your early-warning system, but they live inside the portal — they are not emails. If your team isn’t in the portal daily, agree on who checks the bell each morning.
