The commission math
Your deal with the operator is one number: the commission rate on your dashboard’s Your commission tile. Every sub-order is settled with the same three lines:
- Gross — your items at their sold prices.
- Commission — gross × your rate, kept by the operator.
- Net — gross minus commission. This is yours.
Worked example (a real order from the screenshots, at a 7% commission rate):
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Gross (items sold) | 2,040.77 KES |
| Commission (7% of gross) | − 142.85 KES |
| Net payable to you | 1,897.92 KES |
The rate is frozen into each order when it’s placed — if the operator later changes your rate, existing orders keep the old math. Cancelled orders earn nothing on either side; they are excluded from all commission and payout figures.
